Intro & Educational Style:
We have been doing school at home during the Covid crisis in Austria. We have found the school system here very unforgiving for children who move at a different pace to the rest of the class.
We have found the schoolwork here repetitive and there is a disproportionate focus on maths when we feel that creative subjects are also important.
We are moving to France in August 2020 and will homeschool at least for the first year. I am reluctant to put children into the school system if it does not nurture them and I am concerned that the French system will not do that.
Who are you looking to network with, what activities do you do, etc.:
We are looking for families to share activities and ideas with. I have a degree in French and so will be speaking French with the children at home. If there is any opportunity to keep up their German too, that would be great.
